As a German eco-pioneer, the power woman has been showing for over 20 years that clean, super feminine fashion looks and eco-fair production are not mutually exclusive. Smart, fluffy bouclé coats (awww, the egg-shape coat!), a Tencel lined parka, floor-length virgin wool Marlene pants, cotton-laced lingerie tops, sexy modal wrap dresses (hello, Diane von Fürstenberg!) – everything organic natural. And of course certified. Yes, high fashion is also sustainable.
But Claudia does not rest on her laurels. With exciting collaborations such as LANIUS x Kunert, she brings smart materials like Econyl onto the runway – the iconic fishnet tights from the German hosiery manufacturer are made from fishing nets that are floating in the sea without an owner. And they go damn well with Claudia’s stylish coat collection.
Unique upcycling bags are made from the trade fair banners. And dreamy summer dresses are made from recycled Indian silk saris. The 12-piece LANIUS x Brigitte collection, which was created in collaboration with fashion professionals from the women’s magazine, will be launched in autumn 2018.
And in spring/summer 2019, LANIUS will offer a capsule collection on the subject of “Natural Dying” that saves 97 percent water. Yes, the dyeing process is still one of the most critical points in the production of sustainable fashion. It goes without saying that LANIUS chose this topic to get something going…
