April 20, 2021 | 5 to 6 pm | Zoom | Hamburg mal fair
The fashion industry in the corona crisis: time to rethink!
C&A, Primark & Co remain sitting on their unsold items of clothing because of the corona pandemic. Orders worth billions were canceled and some finished collections were not accepted. For workers in producing countries such as Bangladesh, India or Myanmar, this means the loss of work, income and livelihoods. The corona crisis makes a necessary change in the textile industry even clearer. But which ways lead out of this crisis? What can a legal framework achieve? And what role do fair and ecological textile seals play?
One year after the outbreak of the corona pandemic, Hamburg speaks fairly with Annekatrin Mohr from Brands Fashion and Sina Marx from FEMNET e.V., an association that has been campaigning for the rights of women in the global clothing industry since 2007.

Live Webinar “Decolonising Craft”
Schon bei der 2nd GREENSTYLE hatten wir eine Kooperation mit dem Social Business und Design Label Nata Y Limón.
