And this is exactly where Simone Stark’s concept comes in: Dealing with fast-moving fashion trends and mass production has made the clothing technician and trained tailor reflect and change her attitude forever. After almost 20 years in the fashion industry with big houses like Escada, Rena Lange and Willy Bogner, she has filled a gap with her idea: In her bridal studio “hugs & kisses” in Munich, she gives unique wedding dresses, accessories and decorative items a second chance.

In 2019, Simone Stark got married in a secondhand wedding dress and would like to share this experience with others, who are getting married. Her motivation? To find the perfect secondhand wedding dress for every bride and thus make a small contribution to a more sustainable wedding industry. This way, she can indulge in her passion for fashion and still remain true to her values.

Simone Stark deliberately does not have an online store. For the first encounter with the “historic” dresses, she has perfectly staged her bridal studio. With lovingly selected used furniture and large mirrors, she created the perfect pre-wedding setting. And to be honest, what could be better than to choose the dress for the most beautiful day of your life in a dreamlike atmosphere with your family or best friends and including a personalized consultation?
Good to know: In the future, Simone’s bridal studio will offer workshops on everything around the topics of weddings, sewing and upcycling.
