Responsibility for people and nature is a top priority at VAUDE and has been for 40 years. VAUDE stands for high-quality outdoor clothing and equipment for mountain athletes and for the right equipment for cycling fans. Jan Lorch looks back on a successful corporate career: first employees, then overall sales manager, since 2009 member of the executive board (CSO) and since the beginning of 2010 also responsible for the CSR division and since then also head of the “Sustainability Team”.
He studied administrative science at the University of Konstanz and wrote his thesis on “Sustainable tourism development in the Alpine region”. Jan Lorch is an outdoor professional through and through. also a member of the board of the EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association), deputy chairman of the specialist group outdoor (FGO) in Germany, worked for the expert commission for the creation of the German Sustainability Code under the direction of the “Council for Sustainable Development” and was a member of the 1st steering committee of the Alliance for Sustainable Textiles, which was launched by the Federal Government.
