Starting in the summer of 2021, the Fashion Week will take place at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. Messe Frankfurt, official partner of the United Nations and the world’s largest trade fair, congress and event organizer with its own exhibition grounds, and Premium Group as the organizer of Europe’s largest fashion trade fair, are bringing the Fashion Week to Frankfurt together with the city of Frankfurt am Main and the state of Hessen.
The initiators see enormous potential in the new location, as Frankfurt is both future-oriented and economically strong. According to Anita Tillmann, the Premium Group will provide the corresponding “sexiness”.
With a clearly defined focus on sustainability and digitalization, the new and future-oriented fashion format will include trade shows, conferences, runways and events.
Frankfurt for a sustainable future
“Five platforms, three fairs, two conferences, over 2,000 designers, brands and fashion companies. Frankfurt Fashion Week is becoming a highly attractive and relevant location for the international fashion business. We believe in the concept of a physical Fashion Week. But in a different way from what we have known up to now,” says Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt, responsible for NEONYT in Berlin.
Bye-bye, Berlin – hello, Frankfurt. Frankfurt Fashion Week beginning in summer 2021.
“When fashion, lifestyle, digital innovations and sustainability enter into a synthesis – then something new, something unexpected is created. This is exactly what we are aiming for. Unveiling the unexpected. Frankfurt is a new location for this. We are looking forward to it,” says Anita Tillmann, Managing Partner of the Premium Group.
