While VORN presented the Fashion for Good Museum’s traveling exhibition GROW with sustainable material innovations in June 2023 to show how the path to a new circular fashion can succeed, the opening of the VORN Space in Bikini Berlin also featured the Berlin Fashion Hub’s first own exhibition.
Academy Showcase LOOM // Luxury goes Circular & Virtual
Ten designers with their circular projects were selected from the more than 50 designers who took part in the VORN Academy’s online courses in summer 2023. At the start of Berlin Fashion Week, they were allowed to show their work in the newly opened VORN Space. The topics: innovation, luxury, circular economy and creativity.
The following works of Dorota Stepniak (Content Story), Elodie Carstensen (Elodie Carstensen), Florian Máthé (Máthé), Harm Heye Coordes (Church of the Hand), Ildiko David (Drenkrom), Isabel Toledo (EME OM), Julia Tabakov (Tabakshop), Kseniya Dockhorn (Green Knit), Salar Mousavi (Children of Time) and Sarah Frede (Sarah Frede) were shown.
VORN – The Berlin Fashion Hub
Since 2021, VORN – The Berlin Fashion Hub has been committed to achieving positive impacts of sustainability on the fashion industry. Economically successful circularity, social responsibility and the reduction of CO2 emissions are the first milestones of the registered cooperative. Based on the four programs Community Services, Innovation Lab, Scaling Program and Co-Working Space, VORN – The Berlin Fashion Hub brings the community together and creates an impact for a more sustainable future of the fashion world. Members can now also physically attend events and use the new co-working space in Bikini Berlin.
