So lauten die selbstgesetzten Ziele der Fashion Positions. In zwei Hangars auf dem Flughafen Tempelhof zeigen vom 12. (VIP) – 15. September 2024 drei Tage lang 20 unabhängige Berliner Labels ihre Kollektionen. Und machen sichtbar, wie fließend die Grenzen zwischen Mode und Kunst verlaufen. Eine fantastische Mische aus etablierten Designer*innen und aufstrebenden Talenten. Vor Ort zeigen an offenen Standflächen u.a. die Berliner Labels CRUBA Karen Jessen Esther Perbandt sowie Newcomer wie MAJÈRE. ***Hongkong Fashion Week 2024 // Review*** Brands ***Hongkong Fashion Week 2024 // Review*** Brands und Labels aus Hongkong, Mainland China, Taiwan. Guest Designer aus Macao, Singapore und London. Runway Shows und Installationen. Der Redress Design Award. Masterclasses (mit u.a. Robert Wun) und Talks (u.a. mental Health in Fashion). Und - das absolute Highlight - die Show des gerade genannten Gast-Couturiers @robertwun im Palace Museum (mit rauschender Aftershow-Party) im Grand Majestic Sichuan. Die Modemesse Centrestage, die im Rahmen der Hongkong Fashion Week stattgefunden hat, hatte 2024 nochmal mehr zu bieten als im letzten Jahr. Mit welchen Marken wir gesprochen haben, wer diesmal den Award gewonnen hat… sorry, das dauert noch ein paar Tage. Hier aber aber zumindest schon mal ein paar Eindrücke. ***Brands entdecken // Hongkong Fashion Week 2024* ***Brands entdecken // Hongkong Fashion Week 2024*** Fashionshows, Brands, der Redress Design Award und jede Menge Networking, Workshops und Talks. Die #hongkongfashionweek wird vom Veranstalter HKTDC (Hongkong Trade Development Council) zurecht als Asia’s Fashion Spotlight bezeichnet. GREENSTYLE ist vor Ort. Auf der Suche nach sustainable Brands. Für den deutschen Markt. Im Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Centre zeigen auf der Ordermesse CentreStage über 200 nationale und internationale Aussteller*innen ihre Kollektionen. Hier finden vom 4. bis 7.9.2024 die Fashion Hong Kong Runway Shows statt. Im vergangenen Jahr habe ich auf der CenterStage von den Veranstaltern viele spannende sustainable Brands gezeigt bekommen und habe bei meinen Rundgängen über die Messe noch viele mehr entdeckt. Das sind sehr interessante Kontakte, die niemals digital zustande kommen würden. Warum das so wichtig ist? Weil es am Ende des Tages darum geht, dass diese Labels Sichtbarkeit in Europa, in meinem Fall in Deutschland, bekommen und dort Fuß fassen können. Dass sie nicht nur online gekauft, sondern von Buyern für ihre Stores und unsere Pop-ups entdeckt werden können. Ich bin gespannt, welche Labels das HKTDC in diesem Jahr für mich ausgewählt hat - die Auswahl auf der Messe und bei den Shows ist groß. Festivals sind nicht nur Gute-Laune-Booster, sondern auch XL-Müllproduzenten. Deshalb schenkt Katrin Rieber kaputten und zurückgelassenen Zelten, Pavillons, Werbebannern, Kite-Schirmen & Co., ein neues Leben als regenfeste Ponchos, Mäntel, Jacken und Accessoires. Jedes Teil um ein vielfaches stylischer, als das Ursprungsprodukt. 💥@verlinne.transylvania. Elegante Teile aus Rumänien Andreea Trandafir hat die erste nachhaltige Fashion Brand in Rumänien gegründet. Seit 2017 designt und produziert sie herrlich feminine Kollektionen aus u.a. Als Fashion Professional seit über 20 Jahren kennt er die Belastung von Menschen in der Modebranche. “In der Mode gibt es keine Probleme.” Anstatt wegzusehen hat er u.a. auf der Centrestage Stage in Hongkong mit Thimo Schwenzfeier und @claudiahofmannstudio sehr genau hingeschaut. Ziemlich cool.***// YVZ Denim Yavuz Ataley hat vor einem Jahr die (nachhaltige) Premium Brand YVZ Denim gegründet, weil er eine bessere Denim Brand gründen wollte. Und weil Yavuz Yavuz ist, hat er nicht nur einfach eine neue Brand aufgesetzt. Er hat sich auch Ziele gesetzt: Der Macher aus Bedburg bei Düsseldorf möchte eine neue Ära der Denim-Mode etablieren. Bääm. Aber so ist das eben bei @yvzdenim . Einfach nur so ist bei YVZ kein Thema. Hier geht es um das Maximum. Hier wird Wert auf das kleinste Detail gelegt – vom Material über die Verarbeitung bis hin zum Style. Die YVZ Kollektion(en) waren am 27. und 28.7.2024 auf der Orderplattform @neonyt.duesseldorf im Bilker Bunker und im Rahmen der Igedo Selected Fashionshow im DFD (Düsseldorf Fashion Days) Zelt am Corneliusplatz zu sehen. Mit ordentlich wumms und guten vibes. Das Keypiece? Der Zweiteiler Cassiopeia, der a) nach dem Sternenbild benannt ist und b) dank dunklem Denim und all-over-eingenähten helleren Fäden definitiv ein Eyecatcher ist. Und weil einfach nur schön für seine Brand nicht genug ist, hat sich Yavuz mit Tobias Reuter tatkräftige Verstärkung an Bord geholt. Tobias lässt seine Erfahrung als Influencer, Model (u.a. natürlich für YVZ Denim und nicht zu übersehen auf der Website) als Head of Corporate Branding in die Upcoming Marke einfließen. Was die beiden mit YVZ anders machen? Die Antwort darauf gibt es im „Let’s get loud. And proud.“-Panel, das Mirjam auf der Neonyt moderiert hat. Mehr dazu demnächst.
