The awareness of sustainable fashion is growing – among brands as well as consumers, in politics and the media. Jana Braumüller, Vreni Jäckle and Nina Lorentzen have been addressing the challenges that arise from this for several years. First as bloggers, then as activists who gave their movement the title Fashion Chargers in 2017. Her book was published in March of this year by Knesebeck Verlag in Munich: Fashion Changers – How we can improve the world with fair fashion. The book presents bloggers, brands, activists – in short game changers – who are committed to a better fashion industry and shows how fair fashion can change the world for the better. And in autumn the first Fashion Changers Conference is now on the agenda. In Berlin. Location still unknown. But the fact is that on 15 October 2020, the sustainable community will set off for the capital. Too long the last meeting of the scene has been over, as the NEONYT had to be cancelled in July.

What can we expect at the Fashion Changers Conference?
Topics such as communication, materials, diversity, finance and politics are explored in depth in panel discussions, lectures and workshops. Founders, fashion designers, media professionals, students, sustainability activists and political actors will provide insights into their work, knowledge and activism. Workshops and Master Classes take place in a Knowledge-Area – getting to know each other and exchanging ideas is the theme of the Networking-Area.
Aim of the one-day event?
How do you communicate sustainable issues when suddenly everyone is “sustainable”? How do you finance and start a sustainable project 2021? How do you stay innovative? And how do you bring responsibility and profitability together? The demands on the topic of sustainable fashion are changing rapidly. That’s why the Fashion Changers offer the opportunity to educate themselves further in the field of sustainable fashion, to develop concrete recommendations for action and to expand the network – because change can only be achieved together.
