Olaf Schmidt arrived at Messe Frankfurt through board and management positions in textile companies and a spinning mill. The “Graduate Textile Engineer” with an MBA has been responsible for the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition as Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies since 2006. His portfolio includes around 60 events worldwide in the fields of technical textiles, home textiles, clothing fabrics, fashion and textile processing. In addition to the leading international trade fairs Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess in Frankfurt am Main, he is also responsible for trade fairs at global textile hotspots in Paris, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo and Moscow. The latest highlight: the Frankfurt Fashion Week in July 2021.
