As the daughter of two immigrants from the former Yugoslavia<\/strong>, the Munich native<\/strong> was born with an interest in politics. Senada studied political science and journalism<\/strong> and travelled to Alacati in Western Turkey, a hotspot for refugees who wanted to enter the EU from Turkey by traversing the Greek islands. As a TV correspondent, Senada provided reports from the Turkish refugee camps<\/strong>, as well as from the Syrian and Iraqi borders for TV stations like the Deutsche Welle and Euronews. This experience shaped Senada and lead to her decision to get involved with people<\/strong> with fitbuddha who are being treated unfairly.<\/p>\n

In 2017<\/strong>, she founded fitbuddha \u2013 a fashion label that sells iconic coarse-knit accessories<\/strong> from a small clutch to the XL shoulder bag as well as incredibly comfy jumpers made by widows and older women<\/strong>. Meanwhile she works with many women in different Turkish villages<\/strong> and gives them work, financial security and self-esteem through fitbuddha. Her casual #iprayforall-, “I am a hippie” and wild dream coats<\/strong>, dresses, skirts (be sure to check out “Be Brave” skirt!) are made by women in need, mostly from Alacati, in cooperation with a local designer.<\/p>\n

Consequently, her collections are animal-friendly and fair trade<\/strong>. Her wooden accessories are made of recycled oak, which she acquires from run-down houses along the Turkish Black Sea coast.<\/p>\n
