Ursula Matschy<\/strong>, who has fulfilled her dream of becoming a sustainable fashion label with Lounge Cherie, has been a master tailor for over a quarter of a century. At her Styrian loungewear, yoga fashion and nightwear label<\/strong>, she is the creative head for ideas, cuts and fabrics for the wonderfully cozy collections that you would love to wear 24\/7<\/strong>. The founder is supported by her daughter Nina Kramberger<\/strong>, who as a fashion and beauty photographer knows the fashion world like the back of her hand. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My design is purist, feminine – and in any case ageless! It is important to me that everyone who wears Lounge Cherie on their skin feels something special. Ursula Matschy, Lounge Cherie<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The mission of the Austrian mother-daughter duo? To create fair fashion basics<\/strong> from natural and biodegradable materials that leave the smallest possible ecological footprint, but are anything but boring<\/strong>. Tencel Modal<\/a> is used for most products, as only these materials from Lenzing<\/strong> meet Lounge Cherie’s quality and sustainability requirements. Mission accomplished!<\/strong> Organza ruffles on cuffs and trumpet sleeves, cool cut-outs, sexy spaghetti straps, feminine Carmen necklines, iconic wrap-around look – (comfortable!) basics can be so sophisticated.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Lounge<\/h2>\n

Fashion is only sustainable if it is manufactured respectfully in harmony with nature and people.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Speaking of refined:<\/strong> the Lounge Cherie pieces can of course do much more than just look beautiful<\/strong>. For example, the leggings are made with two layers in the crotch and hip area so that nothing shines through even during the most demanding asanas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Only (perfect for allergy sufferers) TENCEL \u2122 modal fibers are used<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The two minds behind Lounge Cherie prove that they are really serious about sustainability in their constant attempts<\/strong> to further reduce their footprint. They have switched from polyester thread to cotton thread. Accessories such as pull-in elastics, like TENCEL \u2122 modal fibers, come from Austria<\/strong>. Hang tags, banderoles and flyers are produced exclusively on recycled paper<\/strong>. It is printed by local companies. The current challenge? The feel-good factor always has something to do with elastane (attention: synthetic fibers!). That is why Lounge Cherie is working on being able to offer designs with biodegradable elastane<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

TENCEL \u2122 modal fibers runs like a central idea through the collection: free from polyamide, polyacrylic and polyester<\/strong>. Instead, it is biodegradable, completely compostable, breathable and without allergy potential<\/strong>. The good mood collections are assembled two and a half hours away by car in the north of Croatia. In the production facility, all employees have an ergonomically humane workplace<\/strong> – their rights are respected and they are fairly remunerated.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And the high demands of the two do not end with the production.<\/span> Carmen, Johanna, Marie and Max<\/strong> (all favorite pieces have first names!) are just waiting to give their wearer wonderfully relaxed moments of wellbeing.<\/span> It goes without saying that packaging and shipping<\/strong> also correspond to the sustainable concept.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
