The two Munich students<\/strong> used to shop at well-known brands.<\/span> Today they prefer second hand<\/strong> and vintage stores<\/strong>.<\/span> But not only privately.<\/span> Since the launch of their own label THE RENEWERY in April 2019<\/strong>, the two students have been spending their time at VinoKilo<\/a>, Pick’n’Weight & Co. also for professional reasons.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Brand new and up to the #zeitgeist – THE RENEWERY<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Because this is where Hannah and Leila buy second-hand clothes, which they then tailor to meet the needs of the times and then sell them again on Instagram via @therenewery<\/a>.<\/span> Sometimes there are small, subtle changes like a dart here or there.<\/span> Sometimes the neckline is trimmed from round to boxy.<\/span> Often it is only little things that turn a discarded piece into a new favorite.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Second hand meets upcycling – the sustainable alternative to fast fashion.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The first collection (Creamy Collection)<\/strong> was very well received.<\/span> Here cropped shirts<\/strong> meet oversized pieces, hot pants<\/strong> and pleated minis<\/strong> meet floor-length Marlene pants<\/strong>.<\/span> There were first teasers for the second collection<\/strong> at the 3rd edition<\/strong> of GREENSTYLE.<\/span> Instead of delicate summer tops and negligee looks, the two students<\/strong> then come up with a seasonally adapted collection of unisex pieces.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

renewery, engl., noun. the process of adjusting vintage clothes to a modern silhouette.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The duo-tone clothes<\/strong> are particularly exciting.<\/span> Because by dividing and reassembling two pieces of clothing<\/strong>, the two create completely new looks.<\/span> Perfectly implemented with the oversized shirts<\/strong> in cream and white as well as with the olive-green Burberry blazers<\/strong> (with and without “check”).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Renewery.<\/span> The old is the new new.<\/span> And still trendy.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The two of them find inspiration via social media<\/strong> and thus pick up on the zeitgeist of current fashion.<\/span> It is very important that their old new favorites<\/strong> are trendy.<\/span> Because they want to target<\/strong> those consumers who would otherwise buy from the usual chains.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
